Overview

Strength and beauty, restored.

A crown is a custom porcelain cap that covers a damaged tooth completely — protecting a cracked, root-treated or heavily filled tooth from further breakdown while restoring its natural shape and shade. A bridge uses crowns on neighbouring teeth (or on implants) to span a gap left by one or more missing teeth.

Both are designed digitally from precise intraoral scans — no messy impressions — and crafted to match the translucency and colour of your natural teeth. On implants, crowns and bridges are how your new teeth take their final form, which is why restorative excellence sits at the heart of everything we do.

When a crown or bridge is the answer

  • Cracked or fractured teeth protected before the crack spreads below the gumline.
  • Root canal treated teeth which become brittle and need full-coverage protection.
  • Large old fillings replaced with something far stronger and better looking.
  • Worn or eroded teeth rebuilt to proper height and function.
  • Small gaps of 1–3 teeth bridged — on natural teeth or on implants.

Common questions

Crowns & Bridges — answered.

How long does a crown last?
Well-made porcelain crowns commonly last 10–15 years or more with good care. The biggest factors are your bite, grinding habits and hygiene — all of which we plan around.
Crown, bridge or implant — which should I choose?
If the tooth is present but damaged: a crown. If a tooth is missing: an implant avoids cutting neighbouring teeth, while a bridge can be faster where an implant isn't suitable. Your consultation compares the options honestly for your case.
Will it look fake?
No — modern porcelain is layered to mimic natural enamel, and each restoration is shade-matched to your surrounding teeth.
Does getting a crown hurt?
The tooth is fully numbed during preparation, and most patients describe the process as no more involved than a large filling.
